Prior to the first appointment, you will receive an invitation to create a portal profile through Therapy Notes and to complete forms that will best prepare me to learn about you in the intake appointment. The goal of the first appointment is to learn more about what brings you to therapy and the things that are most important to you. It will feel conversational and I will ask questions to learn about your experiences.

It depends. Because therapy is individualized and there is no exact formula, it is difficult to give a direct answer to how long therapy takes.
Some people aim to accomplish very specific goals through treatment (solution-focused therapy), which can take anywhere from weeks to months.
However, deeper and holistic work takes longer time, sometimes ranging from months to years. In general, if the issue has been occurring for a long time, treatment takes a bit longer to get to the core.No matter the time required, you are worth the investment.
