Frequently asked questions

Payment

  • A full fee will be applied if an appointment is cancelled within 24 hours of the session.

  • A Good Faith Estimate (GFE) is a document that provides patients, particularly those who are uninsured or self-paying, with an estimate of the expected cost of their health care. It's a financial document outlining anticipated charges for scheduled services, promoting transparency and preventing surprise bills.

Participation

  • Prior to the first appointment, you will receive an invitation to create a portal profile through Therapy Notes and to complete forms that will best prepare me to learn about you in the intake appointment. The goal of the first appointment is to learn more about what brings you to therapy and the things that are most important to you. It will feel conversational and I will ask questions to learn about your experiences.

  • In Oregon, clients over the age of 14 are considered adults in regard to their mental health, meaning it is their right to keep information private. However, I attempt to include parents in the therapy process through check ins or updates when helpful and safe, and with client awareness of what is being discussed.
